The Stoll Foundation takes possession of Valour House
Almost a year on from the sale of our original site, Sir Oswald Stoll Mansions, we are pleased to announce that we have taken possession of 40 brand new flats just 10 minutes walk from our previous site, in the riverside King’s Road Park development. The building’s name, Valour House, was suggested by our residents to mark the bravery and sacrifice of those who have served their country.
A further 88 flats in a neighbouring building will be handed over in the next few weeks, creating 128 new homes for veterans and serving personnel built by our partners Berkeley Homes. These bright and spacious homes with modern amenities and improved heating and insulation are a welcome upgrade for residents of the 100 year old Mansions site.
Many of these flats will be occupied by those moving from our historic Mansions site, while 30 2- and 3-bedroom flats will be provided for military families. Applications for these flats are currently open and we encourage eligible families to apply.
Our new site represents the biggest investment in social rent housing for veterans of the UK Armed Forces in decades and will include new community facilities alongside the 128 flats, including meeting spaces, therapy spaces, a disabled adapted gym, and new offices for The Stoll Foundation’s front line staff. As the only specialist veteran housing provider that is registered with the Regulator of Social Housing we are proud to provide these high quality homes at social rent in conjunction with the Greater London Authority.
Thank you to BlueCo, Berkeley Homes, the Greater London Authority and our residents for supporting The Stoll Foundation as we start a new chapter and begin another 100 years of veteran support and housing.
