These sessions are for frontline housing staff in local authorities, housing associations and supported housing providers. Led by Homeless Link, they will help you identify veterans and better meet their housing needs. The sessions are packed with information, practical tips and guidance, and examples of best practice. Separate sessions are tailored for England, Scotland and Wales.
Within the sessions we cover:
- The Armed Forces Covenant
- How to identify a veteran
- What the homelessness and allocations legislation says in relation to veterans
- How your organisation can go above and beyond to meet the housing needs of veterans by learning from some good practice examples
- Information about the wide range of services and provision available to veterans
