Schools Engagement Scheme

We’re fostering links with local schools to bring pupils and veterans together. Our Schools Engagement Scheme is all about mutually beneficial intergenerational learning and understanding.

Activities can include:

  • Veterans talking to pupils about their wartime experiences, either face to face or online.
  • Students taking part in events like Armed Forces Day, Remembrance Day, Stoll’s Summer BBQ or our Christmas Lunch.
  • Young people teaching veterans how to use technology and social media.
  • Children producing art to commemorate Armed Forces events, to be displayed at Stoll in our main hall, in schools or online.
  • Cross-cultural learning and understanding, through sharing stories with our Gurkha and Commonwealth veterans.
  • Activities to raise funds for vulnerable veterans.
