Support services
We offer a range of support to all residents, and through our work with partners.
Tailored support
We offer veterans an individual plan, and work together to agree on the specific support needed. This could cover:
- Advice on welfare benefits
- Access to support for mental health and addictions
- Debt and money management
- Employment and training
- Finding a new home
Independent Living Service
Our Independent Living Service works with residents to help people build and maintain their independence.
This includes help with domestic chores, laundry and shopping for essentials. We also accompany veterans to medical appointments and on organised trips, and provide a listening ear and emotional support.
Community connections
We also have strong links to other organisations who offer a range of activities – from regular sessions to qualifications to one-off events.
Living in a Stoll home and having the opportunity to take part in community and social activities can really help residents’ emotional wellbeing and combat social isolation.
Working with the Poppy Factory
We are part of the Navigator program, which is coordinated by the Poppy Factory and supports veterans who are socially isolated, have complex health needs, long-term mental health issues or addiction problems. Working with both residents and non-residents, we help people build a network of support, develop resilience and access appropriate services.
Part of NHS Op COURAGE
Op COURAGE is the NHS mental health service specifically for veterans. A member of Stoll’s staff is part of a multidisciplinary team within Op COURAGE, working with veterans with complex needs who are referred through the scheme.
